The Hog Lake Unit is approximately 14 miles northwest of Tofte and
adjacent to the Timber-Frear canoe area. The area boasts 200 acres
of 100-year old pine.
There are five lakes within the unit: Big Snow, Little Snow, Clover,
Retreat, and Hog. These lakes offer solitude and quiet, with the
exception of an ATV trail to Hog Lake. The area’s topography is
mostly upland, ranging in elevation from 1,700 feet to 2,000 feet.
