The Wolf Lake Unit is just north of Lake Vermilion, a large and
heavily used recreation lake. The area features 68 acres of
old-growth red pine.
The primary attraction within this area is 179-acre Wolf Lake, which
is accessible by water and a portage from Lake Vermilion. People use
the area for hunting, fishing, berry picking, and hiking.
